I had a similar issue and it turned out to be a grounding issue with the led bulb. It worked with a non led bulb. I switched to a different led manufacturer and the new bulb worked fine.

As for the finned lines, I tried one and for my street car, didn't prefer them as they fit a bit different. I went with a similarly priced Dansk line.
