A long time. I've had the car 2 years now and haven't done it. No problem with acceleration or pinging. It sounds like a possible culprit though.

I had a great drive today from central Jersey to Brooklyn, NY.
All went well except for a faint clicking noise emanating from the driver's side rear wheel.

I've had them for my 88 turbo cab for over a year. No complaints. Some will say why do it? I do it because I drive short distances and get in and out plenty. You won't regret it. No problem...
