Do check your battery voltage measuremement first- should be 12v and when engine running around 14v, any thing excessive then you have a Voltage Regulator (VR) failure.

Thanks again Tirwin, I'm sure the regular water leaks are not from the rear vents, i've seen that type of leak from when thick snow lying ( & melting ) accross the roof top & down onto the rear...
