I need to use after market gauges in my 67 912 with a 1978 915 trans can somebody tell me which hall effect pulse # to use with a electric programmable VDO speedo

I have a 1978 915 stuffed into a 67 912 could somebody help me with the location of the speedometer sender location I think it at the tail end of the trans-axle
