I wouldn't bother setting the base idle yet. Eliminate other potential issues FIRST, fix it, then fine tune your base idle mixture.

That said, if RPM's didn't change with the filler cap off...

Did you swap out the AFM and test? Possibly the "barn door" tracks are worn and or the Air temp sensor is faulty.

Curious, what happens when you unscrew, remove the Oil filler cap with it...

Clutch helper spring? Can't see from the pic. I've broken several over the years. Usually goes with a metal sounding "POP" and the pedal only returns about half way up.

Just wanted to update this thread which helped me on my quest to update the existing bulbs in my H5's to modern standards. I also didn't want to spend fortune on H4's or the aftermarket LED projector...

1) O2 sensor disconnect start
2) Check the ICV/ISV functionality, take it off and spray some brake cleaner...
