You need to modify the tunnel cover with a small flange as the end of the shift rod hangs below the tunnel. Not a simple fit and forget if that's what you're looking for.

I had the same occur on my new clutch...also 90...

I had the same occur on my new clutch...also 90 C4. It went away after a few weeks of daily driver use. Prior to that it was used infrequently.

I've just gone through the same exercise and replaced just the bushings. The part number is 928-116-145-03 and is listed as a 928 Clutch lever ball cup bushing.

You need two and Pelican has them...
