It turned out to be the crank position sensor. The supplier of the part indicated that they sell about ten of these a year, nationally. It is spot on reliable and starts everytime now.

I am trying to figure out if the tequipment deactivation bar that is used on 986 is compatible with aftermarket seats? I don't see why not but wanted to hear from people with experience.
