Boy, this thread put my mind at ease! I just had my 1970 oringinal 2.2 rebuilt by Dan Jacob's,
(Hairy Dog Garrrage in CT) using JE's. Only a couple hundred miles, so not really a fair assessment....

I removed all the plugs, fittings, sending unit, and plastic grommets
prior to shipping. I don't know if plugging the holes will be an issue,
I think not. I know the tech spent some time...
