They are similar in that you need to keep a whole bunch of different sizes in stock and pick the right one during an adjustment. That is why I said "similar manner".

The fuel gauge came only with the optional on board computer. Most US-spec bikes did not have it unfortunately. The OBC also included an oil level display.

Also, use either a hole saw (18mm I think) or a forstner bit to drill the holes in your fairings. Regular drill bits will be hard to get good clean, round holes.
