Cool MotoMeter Outside Air Temperature Gauge

I need some help identifying this gauge. Is it from a Porsche 911?

I purchased it many years ago at an autojumble, and recently found it in a box of parts in my garage!

Any idea of it's value?...

Are fuel injection cars more prone to fires than those with carbs?

Is it to do with fuel pressure? The FI cars have 35lb psi pressure in their fule lines which is more likely to find it's way out...

I have a six with webers.

My fuel pump looks a lot like this (photo from PP). There may or maynot be a picture here!



I am unsure as to whether it is the original (for fuel injection) or low...
