Yeah, I figured dishwasher was a typo. I simply drew some warm water into a bucket with some mild dish-washing soap and swished the filter around. Then swished it around in a bucket of clear water....

Thanks for the advice fellow riders. I used the K/N cleaning solution, then rinsed the filter in warm soapy then clear water just for the overkill factor. Will allow to air dry and use K/N oil.

Good advice regarding the FI hose clamps. The lines at the engine end have good clamps, but I doubt the tank end was changed out, and that's where the problem is.

I've got some small C clamps...
