944 Automatic Axles with CV's (86)

I have a pair - left and right, of axles from a 1986 NA/Automatic 944. The axles are nice, the CV's are nice, and the boots are in useable condition.

Still dirty in the photos, but they are clean...

I degreased the ends of them and they are stamped...

I degreased the ends of them and they are stamped L and R. So that is that. I thought maybe the paint codes were the indicator.
