When I installed the rms seal, the crank surface looked good as I recall. I did use a sealant made by Quicksilver (Mercury Marine) around the outer edge of the seal to facilitate easier installation...

I happened to stop by on saturday to look for a windshield washer tank and saw this car. If I had the time and wasn't expecting a baby I'd consider it. There is nothing there that can't be repaired.

Looking for the removable, "S" shaped steel line that runs between the fuel dampner and the high pressure fuel supply hose.
