My 1997 M96 died !! After 96k , reg mobil 1# oil change ect. It developed a Knock above 3,500 RPM before it seized up at the porsche dealer. For 13k they would be happy to put in a factory rebuild....

I've had my 1997 986 for 4,000 miles. Been watching the oil level real close, both with the dash read out and the dip stick. The dip read out looked good and the dash scale was only one click low....

This is a great improvement. I'm only 5'9'' and didn't realize how much my leg was in contact with the console. Much more comfortable.
