2014-08-05 Gas price on the Eastern Shore of VA

Currently we are paying $3.69 a gallon for 93 octane here on the Eastern Shore, between the Chesapeake Bay and Atlantic Ocean.

That's about $72 bucks fro the tank...

I love the part about allowing your wife's car to park in the garage.
My mgmt would not allow hers to NOT be in the garage.
So the new Rubicon is out, but the Carrera stays in!!!

Update on the no start problem, actually the doggone problem...

Finally got the problem fixed with the help of my wrench.
The problem turned out to be two fold...

1. Had a bad speed sensor on...

Hmmmm, inspected every solder on the 2 dme boards. they looked good and only some extra flux was questioned. So now, check the cables..

let's see...
- intermittent no spark and engine shutoff...

The 3 sensors feeding the dme checked out good (CHK - shorted at conn., speed - reads 1k ohm, reference - reads 1k ohm).

I have used 3 different dme...

There is a new DME relay (so the spare and new are both ok, it appears). have not dug into the computer yet. Trying to verify proper sensor readings before that computer...

so that appears to not be the issue.

I know of 2 other sensors feeding the computer, the reference and speed sensors. Have not figured out how to check their status.
