78 SC Clutch problem. Dead pedal!!!

Facts:
78 915 box who had a makeover in 2004.
New clutch 2004.
Not sure about the clutch cable.

Problem:
The clutch pedal is "dead" the first 1/3 of its travel.
It will not go back into...
