I am also a virgin 911 builder.

Post #7 above states "new crank" needed, not so. 70.4mm stroke for 2.4 or 2.7. Cylinders go from 84 to 90mm though.

Mine is a 2.7 also, 7R and all the goodies....

Also a fiberglass 911s style front bumper/spoiler to fit the fenders.

I have a Raby type1 in my 550 repro, 11000 miles, 170 crankshaft hp.

No signs of explosion yet, 6500 redline. Things have changed.

I wouldn't put that motor in a 911, but do what you like.
