The only thing that makes sense about the driveshaft binding thing is that a binding drive shaft was most likely the cause of the paralever bearing failure.

Sorry that looks stock. I could not see the crossover pipe in the other photo. While you have it off you may want to clean up the welds on the inside of the flanges.

I use Michelins on my passengercars and trucks and have always been glad I paid...
