They dont look as spotty live, the camera plays some tricks since it is a cheap point n' shot that has to expose without a flash. The early gauges are not front lit the same as the later ones either....

The dash caps look much better if done with the dash out of the car. It really is not that difficult to pull the dash, just keep track of all your small bits.

The dimmer switch DOES work, it will darken them a bit. I think that the weak glow of the stock dash is more dangerous than the mild glow of the LED as you have to look longer at the gauge to read it...
