Ok, remove the distributor cap and be sure the rotor under the cap is ok, or look in the back of the motor, (drivers side, near the oil filling tube) there are two speed reference senders, maybe one...

you need to remove the metal plug in the transmission, the one near the driver...

that only the connector for antilock brake sistem,,its not a major hazard to drive the car as that,just tape it up and replace it whenever is possible.
