I had to remove the pivot bolt for the fork from the underside. No way to get the plate off with out getting the fork out of the way.

No real signs of a failure. At leafs everything...

Yes that is the way t should be, but my problem is that when the pop occurred, the fork is now stuck in the engaged position, and I can not seem to get the pressure off the plate. Not quite sure...
