Radiator fan queston. Simple

When I drive around, and car gets to full temp. I turn her off, and the radiator fans still run till it gets below the 2nd white then turn off.
Is it normal or do i have a bad thermo switch?

I drive Docile. Never really break 4k in street driving. I just don't want to break anything more then what I've budgeted to replace. ;)

I have a early cat that has been really reliable, but ever since i've bought it, it has been idling at 2050 RPM. I can run through the gears and when you stop at a light it will go back to 2050....
