you might be able to slip it between the engine...

you might be able to slip it between the engine tin and the rubber, if not pull the motor mount bolts and lower the engine a little bit.

my understanding is that type of interference is caused by the heads having been fly cut and the valves contacting the valve relief cut in the piston. seems to me the clearances were not checked...

the door latch itself is to blame there is a micro switch in the door latch that recognizes the door is open this is no longer working. It doesn't know the door is open.

the bumper does not have to be removed it has...

i have heard tremendous gear rattle travel all the way through the engine because of a light weight flywheel install. this was on a 996 TT. and it was a Porsche motorsports flywheel.

Just found this thread so i hope you dont mind me chiming in. The cam "wear" you see is, i'm fairly certain, a factory design for oil circulation on the top of the lifters... I wouldn't worry about...
