Thanks for the advice, unfortunately I was rather naive when buying this crank and thought i was getting a good deal, but thinking about it now why would anyone grind the crank to fit a 2.4/2.7 rod. ...

Is it feasible to use 2.4/2.7 rods on a 66mm short stroke crank, would it work? I have one that has had the rod journals ground down to 2.4/2.7 spec. I bought no. 3 in this add.

HI All, i have a 66mm crankshaft that has had the rod journals increased from 22 to 24mm to take the later rod size. Can i now only use the later rods with this crank or will the earlier rods also...

Can work out roughly the width and length by doing a scale of the photo, not sure about the thickness though.

Just need to know, on an early 911 2.4 manufactured late 1971, are the manufactured date stamps on the heads, cam carriers etc dated /71 ie the month and year they were cast or would any casting...
