I had a similar issue with all of the warning lights coming on while driving down the road, turn out to be an ignition switch going bad.
I am not an expert, but I bet this one is the main ground...

For $2500 I hope the engine is completely rebuilt and warrantied. I am sure it is more costly over there, but here you could get the engine delivered in a running car for that price.

That is the adjustment for ride height, you really did not want that changed. Adjusting those also could have messed up your rear alignment. I suggest getting new shocks, reset the ride height...

I thought the joint that connects the rod to the rack has flat spots...

Having bought 3 928's under $5K, they all needed at least another $3K just to get them running and safe. After that add in any upgrade, interior, paint, body work, ..etc costs.
