95 911 c4 rumbling sound when spoiler goes down

i have a 95 911 and the passenger seat can go up/down/lean back but cannot get it to lean up again. my passenger seat is now recline back and unable to unrecline it. any ideas? all directions work...

I have a 2001 Z3 2.5i , I took out my instrument cluster to change a light bulb that went out and my dog knocked it off my table and ended up damaging it.
