Some PO removed both doors on my "77 Targa at some stage and just cut the wiring to the mirror. :mad:

The last time this happened to me, the pop-off...

The last time this happened to me, the pop-off valve under the aircleaner had popped off and not closed properly ( o-ring partially dropped out). I re-seated the o-ring and she started just fine.

If you are interested I have an OEM Turbo tail ('tea tray' style) from my now departed 1974 targa. Still attached to the lid (black), and in very good/excellent condition-no rust no perished rubber....

Thanks to everybody, and the final push from porwolf was the clincher.

It still doesn't seem right to have a speed sensor wire piggy backed with a ground wire and then plugged...
