Ok I found that I did not have the Plastic extension piece for the back of the wheel.

Cancel Ring. This is for an early 73 914, wheel does not have the pig tail wire uses the spring pin contact.

High beam indicator

Well the high beam indicator works on the tack but is very dim. I noticed that the Speedometer has what looks like a high beam indicator too. Can I use that one?

The High beam light works but the blue lense is not very bright when lit. Almost cant see it unless the insturment lights ard dimmed and it is dark????
