It does sound like the drive gear try this web site gear (http://www.klaindustries.net/odogear/gear.htm) and also make sure that the car is not moving when you try and reset the trip.

I have never driven the car it has been sitting for at lease 15 or more years but the plan is to fully restore it back to the orinal state. thanks for all the info I will pass it on to my dad.

No its just a stock 4.7 rebuilt engine for my 84....

I have a 1975 Porsche 914 with a 2.0L engine and I would like to but bigger pistons in the motor but I have two to choose from either the 103mm or the 104mm. My question is what is the different...
