Bumper question, very confused

I've got a 98 Boxster base, it needs a front bumper. The OEM brand is on back order from Pelican, so they can't get me one. I'm confused about fitment. Is fitment the same from 97-04 w/o aero kit....

I'll get some more pics of the finished product. price was acceptable. I paid 125.00 to have it dyed to match, and 160.00 for the cap shipped from Pelican.

I think I'm looking at a bad ground, if both circuits share a common ground I may have a back feeding issue. As for one side only opening, I do have a few teeth missing off one of my gears.

87 944s when I use the key to lock either door the sunroof will open on one corner about a half inch. Has anyone seen this before? Both the door locks, and sunroof function properly otherwise.
