I agree with tippy. Sounds like reference sensors have lost alignment/moved from bell housing. You won't find that with a multimeter. They will check out ok just need to be moved closer.

I had a similar problem on my 87 3.2 and it turned out to be manifold leaks. Significant hesitation from about 3000-4000rpm. Did not find problem until I used a smoke machine to find leaks.
