can you tell me how to identify the correct wheels to use, i think this is the problem,do you know what are the offsets of the different wheels? or the part numbers for the 944 16" wheels

1986,944 turbo brakes on a VW bus

A friend of mine is trying to put these brake on his 63 vw bus, he has all the 944 suspension etc on the bus already, was told to put 16" wheels on (fuch) but they don't go over the calipers,...
