Clutch Engaging Rattle

On my 84 NA you can here a sort of rattling noise when engaging the clutch. no sound when releasing the clutch. it shifts fine and smooth but makes this annoying and concerning sound. any ideas??

you can aslo try JB weld. it is rated to around 800 deg C and over 3500 psi (much greater than your fuel pressure.) not the nicest looking fix but at around $12 it works.
