Beautiful car. REALLY BEAUTIFUL paint job. Spray booth is definitely easier than the at-home job. But you have done what many would like to know how to do.

I repainted one a few years back....

Removed battery, cleaned ground.
Took battery to AutoZone for a load test.
Battery tests out ok.

Next day, put battery...

Bouncing around and not registering is caused by dwell being incorrect. Reset it and that should take care of everything.
