'74 CIS cam regrind

I'm putting together a 2.7L, carbureted, JE 9.5:1 pistons engine. Can the CIS cams be hard welded and reground to a profile that will work well for this combination? I'm not looking for all out...

Drive it, up on jack stands, modify it, change it again, rebuild engine, gear box, etc., etc. Since 1981. On going project for 37 years. I suspect this would hold true for many owners.

I first removed all cracked pieces and beveled the edges. Then I used flexible bumper repair to cove the bad areas. After that I had an upholstery shop cover with vinyl. It turned out very nice.
