Just another thought: the oil pickup pipe has been known to crack or break entirely. Barring anything external to the oil pan, it's a remote possibility.

It sounds like one of the rollers in the regulator was not in the channel that it runs in. It's a bit of a pain to get them all in. They all have to be in before locking down the motor.

I put the Borla race muffler on my 951 and it is a mellow note because the turbo dampens some of the note. On the plus side it also left a lot of open extra space where the OEM unit was.

Doing one side at a time is torquing the body and is a pain. Plus I can raise it up to nearly 24 inches. Well worth the speedy operation and no jack stands needed.

I'm wondering if your clutch release fork bearings are toast. I'd also suggest getting under the dash and see how the spring mechanism is working or hanging up.
