So it turns out the car has an aftermarket alarm...

So it turns out the car has an aftermarket alarm installed. I found the module behind the cluster and checked all the connectors, and everything seems to be ok. The key less entry part was working...

I suppose I should have asked this earlier, but did the 83's come with a factory alarm? My car has a keyless entry system, but I don't know (highly doubt) it's stock. I don't know much about alarms...
