I had the same problem last spring. I took it to my local auto electric shop and they rebuilt the alternator, put in a voltage regulator, all for $198.00. I thought that was pretty good. All is fine...

Last winter I had 4 Goodyear regatta's put on my wifes car. They had to pull 3 off because of vibrations. Your problem may just be in the tire.

Question F.I. Problems

I had my 73 914 1.7L running and pulled the heater lever and it died. It has spark and occasionally will sputter like it wants to start but wont. The fuses look o.k. and I can here the relays click....

Cool heating

I just bought my first 914 and I have no heat. The fan in the engine compartment works if I direct conect it. I do not get any power to it though. Does anyone have any ideas on what to check next....
