Old 911 engine in my garage, what is it?

I bought a garage full of Porsche items and one 1970 911 about 10 years ago.
Among those items is a long block which was said to be from a 1973 911. I think it may be something older but not sure....

tks 304065 and others. I rewired the 15 wire powersource to cdi. Could not find the break.
got it started finally, thank you.

Spark, Fuel, Compression. You have spark/fuel from what you`ve described.
This is what I do, I keep a new spark plug in my tool box, I remove the plug wire
from the engine, insert my loose plug...

Stock 1986 911/930...cdi only getting 5.5 volts in...rest of car testing 12v+.
Is there any harm in running temporary power supply to the cdi, via splicing in 12v
supply into 6 pin plug? I`ve done...
