I believe this was a fairly common problem cars. I had to get mine repaired on my 2008 Cayman S. It was done under warranty though.

I just went through the same thing. I took it back to the dealer and they reset the light. It took about 5 minutes. They have a record of the 20k service so it shouldn't be a problem.
