I have a 2001 Boxster S that I just had the IMS bearing replaced with the LN kit(81,000 miles showed hardly any wear on the bearing according to the shop). Now I hear something inside the muffler...

That was the ticket. I did not have to take the bumper off or even loosen the muffler. Just do what you suggested below. Thank you so much!

Actually that is what I have done, but the exhaust is in the way for the axle to drop down and out. Some how I have to drop down the exhaust. I assume if I drop the muffler and unbolt the cats back...
