High Mileage 1991 996 Question
I may be looking at a high mileage (140,000) 1991 996. I have heard a high mileage is nothing to be overly concerned about because of the great engineering of Porsche. A CARFAX check shows that the car has not had any major problems, just replacement of a mass airflow sensor, clutch replacement and clutch assembly replaced, transmission checked and fluid flushed, and radio replaced. No indication of needing to replace the IMS bearing or anything catastrophic. That is all that CARFAX had for the life of the vehicle. Also shows that at one time early on it may have been a fleet vehicle, but individual owners later on. Had a total of 7 owners include the fleet use. Any comments or concerns regarding a 996 with this kind of history?
