Spline bolts
I have a 2010 997.2 S. Last weekend, I removed parts of the exhaust system to access the spark plugs. In the process of removing the rusty exhaust bolts, I broke several of them. They are the ones that attach the cats to the muffler--3 bolts per side. These are 8 MM with a flat round head and a spline just below the head. They fit into a spline mounted on the flange on the cat.
The spline holds the bolt as you tighten the nut, so you don't need to hold both sides in those confined spaces. I'd like to replace all of the spline bolts but can not find them any where. Porsche apparently has no part number for them, and they advise I should use a regular hex bolt, which I don't want to do. Anyone know where I can find them? Thanks in advance for the help. Greg |

Thanks for that. These guys are in the UK--slow and expensive to ship. Any thoughts about sources in the States?
