2005 996 TurboS

I have a 2005 996 TurboS 6sp with 19k miles. Car is in excellent condition. But I have only put 600 miles on it the last six years. Now it runs extremey lumpy and dies as soon as you hit the gas. Managed to slowly get the Engine up to 3500 rpms but then it dies. It idles just fine. "Check Engine" never came on. Porsche is at a loss. Car generates no "error" codes at all. We have run three different analytical tools. I also had a frieden who is an Electronics expert, run diagnostics on every sensor etc. No errors. Turbo charges and waste gates have been checked. Manifold and hoses have been checked for leaks. Car is now at a Bosch service center. Found no defective components nor indicators of any problems. They replaced the plugs and all six coils just to eliminate the ignition side. We are now left with the fuel it self and the cam sensors, eventhough there are no indication that they would be faulty. The Cam sensor is a huge job with gearbox having to come out. One more thing. Car was sitting with battery disconnected for many months before I started it up again. But it ran for weeks before the problems started. Anybody?

1. Where are you?
2. if Porsche is at a loss, that is a tough one for us amateurs.

Dump the fuel, fuel filter (2), drain the gas tank, inspect gas lines....

Sounds fuel related to me.

I just started my 2000 Boxster for the 1st time in 2 years, it has 1/4 tank of Chevron Supreme fuel. ( CA gasohol ) About a month before I started it I added Joe Gibbs Racing Driven fuel stabilizer. It started on 2nd try & idled a little rough but it was drivable soon after, although I would say it's about 80 percent power right now with the old gas.

600 miles in 6 years? The fuel has to be bad.

I would suggust putting fresh fuel in it as the first thing to do and then once that was done check the fuel pressure to make sure the pump and regulator are all in good shape, if that checks out and it still runs poorly the next angle for me would be to pull and clean the injectors.
Why the ignition was changed sort of baffles me.
