High Pitch Whining Noise from Engine Compartment - Engine Off/Ignition Switch On

When I turn ignition switch on to position 1 (position 2 is engine start) there is a high pitched whining noise coming from engine compartment. The high pitch whining noise is audible but not too loud. The whine is coming from center to right side of engine compartment as best that I can tell. Anyone have an idea what is causing this?

Probably the secondary air injection pump (SAI)
It comes on for a few minutes when cold started
Sounds like a hair dryer
It’s next to the coolant tank
Have someone turn the key while you are in the back and see if it makes the noise from the SAI

SAI is on the left side of the engine bay. The poster said the noise is coming from the right side.

Hard to tell where it’s coming from unless you are standing at the back with the hood open
Power steering pump is on center/right side, Check the fluid level
Edit: just noticed the key in acc part.
Only thing that comes on with the key in acc is the SAI and maybe the fuel pump, but that’s in the front

Thanks for replies. Checked power steering fluid level while cold with level just below the "HOT" marking on the measuring rod about 1/8". Checked level again after a drive letting engine cool for a few hours with fluid level right at "HOT" mark. Checked owner's manual "Power Steering Fluid Level" & there's this
"Note - The flow noise heard at full steering lock is design-related and does not indicate a defect in the steering system."

Fuel pump is NOT on with the engine off. Safety reason.

Fresh air blower motor on earlier cars can shriek when the bearing wears out. Unplug & see if your noise disappears. There's one each in the frunk & engine bay.
