Hardtop noise-----HELP PLEASE

I just bought a '99 low miles(62K) 996 and am really annoyed by the squeaks from the top. It is not noticeable at higher speeds but around town, especially on rough roads it is unacceptable. I did smear a little vaseline on the rubber but didn't help much. Is there an adjustment or other fix? Thanks in advance, Bob

Check that the two felts that should sit on the front lip are still there. I had the same issue and fixed all the squeaks by putting a strip of felt where once there was one.

I added some felt and the noise got better but, it is still unacceptable. There is noticeable movement between the top and the windshield header. I would like to tighten the clamping force but don't see any adjustment on the clamp that attaches the top to the header. Any ideas?
