Question Horn is sensitive

1999 / 996 Cabriolet with 112,000 miles
My horn goes off on bumpy roads in the warm to hot weather without touching the horn. Pulling on the steering wheel to exit is another scenario that will set it off, again warm to hot weather. One time last summer the horn just went off with no one in the car (hot day, 95-100 deg). I'm about to pull off the air bag on the steering wheel and look around. Have the springs lost their push over the years? Is there a part number available for a replacement spring? Warm weather is approaching and I want to fix the issue. Thanks Bob!

Just a follow up, on U-Tube is an easy fix for this common problem. You need a long torx allen style (T30?), 19 mm socket and (8) "O" rings (#31) (cost- $3). Disconnect the battery and let sit for about an hour (de-activate air bag). Use the torx tool (enter from behind the steering wheel) to remove horn / air bag. Use the 19mm to remove (4) bolts to remove bracket. In the four corners are rubber grommets that the bolts slide through. Install "O" rings front and back on each corner and re-install bracket then air bag. Re-connect battery. Video is on U-tube. Thanks Bob
