Porsche Crest 1999 911 c2 No Start. No reasonable reason why.

Hi, all, thank you for any help you may can provide. I have a 99 996 that is possessed. It began when the drivers seat was pulling the pin connectors to the immobilizer and immediately after the car wouldn’t start. Although this is the last time the car started, she’s always had a mind of her own when to start. I figured since my Foxwell 530 needed replacement, this would be a great time to change starter, y cable, belt, alternator, battery and terminals. Additionally every fuse was pulled and changed with brand new fuses.

Unfortunately upon receiving the new scanner, I realized my obd2 reader was no longer working. It will power on but no link to the ecu. To further confuse things I tried to trigger the alarm however unsuccessful in making this happen and one additional oddity, when I lock the car, the beep that used to happen immediately now occurs delayed approximately 10 secs after locked with key in door.

The fuel pump sounds, Ive isolated the starter with bridging the start stop relay and I am successful in getting the starter running only in this instance. The relay gets the correct voltage when the key is turned but it won’t start. I’m at my giving up point.

Someone please help

Sounds like you have an immobilizer issue.

Thank you. Is there any way to accurately test that with a voltmeter?

No. If the seat pulling on the wires has shorted it internally, it needs to be sent out to have the circuits tested and repaired. The immobilizer does have its own fuse in the units case, I would check that first just in case it has blown.
