997 Convert top

So I start put top-down and it unlatches...stops and comes up with message that says Convertable top not in the limit position

sounds like a failed limit switch? I had similar issues with a boxster years ago. Replaced a few of the microswitches and it was fine again. I would think your 997 top would have similar sensors/switches. Hopefully others will chime in.
