Another bore scoring question from a prospective buyer

I was looking for a 997.2 S to avoid the motor failure risks with the 997.1 but I found what seems a very nice 997.1 with 48k miles close to me so now I am seriously considering the gen 1 car and getting a PPI done in the next few days.
It sounds like IMS failure rate is low in 2008 models so I can live with that risk.
The bore scoring sounds like a bigger issue .
My question pertains to a PPI. If the borescope inspection shows no significant damage at this point is it expected that this engine is relatively free of the defect or can it show up at any time ?

Any also wondering would those experienced with the first gen cars consider buying one if the PPI shows no current issues ?
